Five questions with Moses
Tell us about a moment from this week that you want to remember.
My pet husky, Zeke, is always very energetic, and he was being a bit ‘naughty’, running around and causing a mess inside our house. We were all trying to calm him down but with no luck. I suddenly pulled out a piece of salmon from the fridge and started waving it at him. He abruptly fell down on his knees and started howling. As I approached him, he drooped down further as if he was being very obedient, and I gave it to him. At that moment, we all laughed our hearts out, seeing the way he changed so quickly just to get the salmon. And then, of course, it was back to naughtiness again.
What did you do last weekend?
I went out with my daughter and we had some ice cream at Rouse Hill Town Centre, chatting about life and just spending some quality time together. I also led a monthly Telugu Christian fellowship group, and I enjoyed singing worship songs, hearing God’s word, and praying and catching up with friends. And, of course, I had an encouraging time at Cornerstone Anglican church Box Hill, as we thanked God for the provision and progress. Our kids were enthusiastic and helped with letterbox dropping our launch invitations after church, which was very encouraging.
Can you share a favourite Bible verse with us?
1 Corinthians 13:4-8,13. I’m always deeply moved by these intense words, which explain the true meaning of Christ’s love, which is sacrificial and unending.
Tell us about your favourite meal growing up.
‘Indian Coconut Rice and Chicken Curry’ made by Mum. I’m a foodie and was blessed by Mum’s delicious meals. I am still enjoying those meals at home, as my wife learnt cooking from Mum, and she delights our entire family with her cooking. Thank God!
Who or what has encouraged you recently?
I was recently encouraged and blessed by Pastor Edmund Chan’s message about ‘God’s plan for your life’ and his perspective on our heart condition and the importance of discipleship. I am certainly witnessing God’s spirit working at our church in Box Hill and the lives of wider community here.
